About me

For 15 years, Jamie served as a High School Spanish teacher, igniting a love for language and culture in students. The joy of witnessing their growth and enthusiasm fueled Jamie's desire to do more for education. Embracing the digital era, Jamie transitioned into becoming a District Instructional Technology Specialist, believing in the power of technology to transform education and empower teachers to deliver more impactful lessons. Guiding colleagues through the intricacies of educational technology was both challenging and rewarding, solidifying Jamie's commitment to elevating education in the district. Currently, Jamie serves as the Coordinator of Professional Learning for Sumter School District Office (K-12). One of Jamie's proudest roles is facilitating training for the dedicated team of Instructional Coaches, and witnessing their growth as educators and leaders is immensely fulfilling. Education is not just Jamie's profession; it is Jamie's calling. Each day brings new challenges and triumphs, reaffirming the belief in the transformative power of education. Jamie is committed to being a lifelong learner, adapting to change, and making a lasting impact on the educational landscape for generations to come.
